Um, yeah. But the golf courses are still open, and the rain is absolutely pouring down.

Last night, I had a quiet night, made some phone calls, ordered out, and watched a little tv, eventually collapsing on the sofa. Angie called to tell me she'd won $250 last night at the bingo and we had a chat until she started falling asleep (no reflection on my conversation, it was past her usual bedtime before she'd called, so it was wholly expected.)

Today, I've done some studying, which is proving to be very difficult for me, I never was an assignments person unless the topic caught my imagination. I did well in exams, but other work I never took seriously - it's like make-believe and I don't do that very well.

Did the hall and living room floors, and browsed a bit. I'm goign to have a relaxing hour or two now before Carol & I go shopping. Fortunately, unlike Bolton, St John's definiton of late-night shopping is not stores that close at 7 pm. :) Also, hopefully, on Saturday evening, we'll find some decent parking - the rain doesn't look like stopping, and I don't want to get soaked when I'm still trying to shift this cold. Speaking of which, I'm still coughing & sneezing a bit, and sneezing blood now, of course. that there is any skin on the inside or outside of my nose is surprising.

Mom just called to tell me she wants some new black trousers for Xmas. Too late... *shakes head* Her timing is as on form as ever!

Ouch. Am sneezing blood too, and waking people up with my coughing.

One thing I don't have to worry about, living alone. except, of course, the neighbours... and carol last night, as I stayed at her place. (and was noisy, she reports.) :(

How was the shopping trip? My chest hurt just reading about it...

Successful in a way it shouldn't have been. And exhausting, definitely.
