'Twas warmer again today. Did the loop but no raspberries at Lethbridge. I think Mom & I are going to go down tomorrow morning just after the farm shop opens. Real jam is a need.
Came back, crashed out across the bed, and read 1951-1954 of Pop's diaries. The strangest entry without doubt was an expedition to Maccles to catch frogs for the fair in Grand Falls. The 16 frogs acquired were duly despatched by train... How exactly this was part of the work of the Department of Natural Resources I have no idea.
And there was his casual mention of a visit by Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Seems to be connected with the establishment of Terra Nova National Park.
