Thanks for the suggestions for the linen - it was entirely innocent, opened a new bottle of lime pickle on a linen ploacemat last evening. I've just had it sopaking in cold water ever since.

My family is coming to St John's tomorrow, but it's unlikely I'll even see them. Mom has a hospital appointment, and Kyle is off school, so the entire tribe is coming, but they have to go home because of the dogs and want to avoid driving out too late, so chances are.... They're bringing me in a pile of stuff, and cookies, and my birthday is officially postponed until I get home for a weekend.

After supper this evening, the sun was just going down and I was leaning back on the sofa looking out the window, and I can see water, which is just so fantastic; I missed it so much living inland. The water was sparkling, and there was a supply boat at *my* bit of the dockside, and you could see the green rawness of the southside hills, and the little boats docked on that side of the harbour. Besides the peacefulness of that part of the view, there were plenty of people back & forth Duckworth Street; it's such a busy, vibrant neighbourhood. And this evening, I got to give my taxidriver directions. ;)

Watched the pilot of the new CBC series, "Intelligence," with Ian Tracey. Hmmmm...

Going to Rhonda & Pat's for dinner tomorrow night. She reminded me tonight of a line of mine from way back - "It's not an apology unless grovelling is involved".
