Lessee.... well, the train was on time, and I had company, which was very nice - even if it did mean I couldn't nap! The weekend was OK, not quite as relaxing as I'd hoped for, but not bad. We've finished the painting touch-ups in the kitchen - well, H did, after deriding my technique so badly I went off in a huff! Then I nearly got in trouble for pointing out the bits he'd missed, even though he'd called me in nspecifically to look for missed spots...
Finished _The Algebraist_ this morning. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and don't regret having paid for a proof copy. Classically Banksian, with the occasional echo of small-c cultures of his previous novels here & there. It was written on a grand scale, and quite cinematically, and I expect it will take a re-read to get all the bits aligned in my mind sufficiently to talk about it. I usually read books over a short period of time, so the entire story remains fresh, but I didn't in this case, due to outside factors of work & social life not leaving me sufficient free time. They didn't creep in, more like ran all over the free time concept in big DMs during the last 2 weeks!
So far today, I am absolutely starving - lunch's sandwich didn't really touch the sides, very sleepy, and run off my feet. Two groups of companies out of the way earlier, now back to ECAs. Even more yawns...
